Worcester Ladies 3 Tenbury Ladies 3

TENBURY produced an energetic first half display and when they led 3-0 before the break a big win looked to be on the cards.

Worcester pulled a goal back before the break, and went on to snatch a share of the Worcestershire Hockey League points despite Tenbury finishing the stronger side.

In a promising start, Tenbury were awarded a penalty corner for a crude tackle.

Kat Mumford took the set-piece and picked out Emily Moseley who scored the opening goal.

Tina Bickley created a second goal for Moseley and then added the third when she pounced on the loose ball after the Worcester keeper blocked Abi Thomas’s shot.

Between the two goals, Worcester were denied by three good saves from Jo Rusling.

Worcester started their fightback with a goal before the break.

And the home side were back in the game when they scored a second soon after the restart.

Rusling made another fine save but Worcester had their tails up now and eventually equalised from their only short-corner of the game.

Tenbury pulled out all the stops as they went for a winner, but the final whistle blew with the sides sharing six goals.
