Droitwich Ladies 3rd 2 Ludlow Ladies 3.

AFTER trailing at the break, Ludlow stepped up a couple of gears in the second half and ran out narrow winners at Droitwich in Division 3 of the Worcestershire League.

Ludlow played reasonably well in the first half, but a general lack of urgency in their play, compounded by an unlucky deflection in defence, left them chasing the game as Droitwich led 1-0 at the break.

The side responded positively to a half-time pep talk and turned in a much more energetic second-half performance.

Eilish Yarham equalised from a rebound after the home defence had kept out a goal-bound Annette Burgoyne shot.

Rosie Oatham put them in front from a similar set-piece.

Ludlow took their foot off the gas and conceded an equaliser. But this set-back stirred the visitors back into life and Anna Norton grabbed a winner five minutes from time.
