Yarrantons star with bat


Tenbury Wells 2nd 194 ao Old Elizabethans 4th 114 ao TENBURY 2nd recorded a comfortable 80-run win in the Worcestershire County League at Penlu.

Alan Taylor (24) and a gritty 35 from Darren Ingram set the foundation after they had lost their first two wickets for four runs.

Mark Yarranton (46) and his son Zack (37) built on the solid base to push the score towards 200.

Derek James (4-14), who had chipped in with 19 the bat, then ripped out the middle and lower order after Adie Edwards (3-26) and Gareth Edwards made early in-roads.
