Ludlow Town 1 Bloxwich United 7.

FACING a side full of confidence, on an eight-game unbeaten run and in second place in the Premier Division of the FTL Futbol WMR League, Ludlow needed to be at full strength.

On the day they were struggling to field a side and it showed in the final scoreline.

The visitors opened the scoring after 13 minutes, went further ahead from the penalty spot and were 4-0 up at the break.

The home side did improve after the break, but Bloxwich were already 6-0 up when Dale Williams cracked home a spectacular consolation goal for Town.

There was still time for the visitors to score again.

On a day when the side struggled, Simon Newhill at left back and second-half substitute Rob Jones, both normally Reserve players, performed well after answering a late call-up.

Manager Chris Richards is looking to add new faces to his squad, with the next four fixtures, all against sides below them in the table, crucial.
