Ludlow Town Reserves 1 Wem 2.
TOWN Reserves played attractive football throughout their game at the SBS Stadium with Wem, but failed to tuck away their chances and suffered their second defeat of the season in the Premier Division of the Sportsjamkits.com Shropshire County League when they conceded a late goal.
They also conceded an early goal to find themselves on the backfoot. Their response was positive, and some free-flowing football led to an equaliser for Danny Crowther. Andy Walker was causing havoc down the flank, but was involved in a fracas with his marker, and both players received their marching orders.
This disrupted the flow of the attacks on the visitors’ goal. But Ludlow had a golden opportunity to take the lead, but Adam Bowen fired the spot kick wide after the Reserves won a penalty. The agony was compounded when Wem fired in the winner with two minutes left on the clock.
