LUDLOW trainer Henry Daly took one of the winners at Sunday’s Ladies Day meeting at his home course.

Lygon Rock beat odds-on favourite Colonial Dreams by four lengths over 2m5f to win the Michael and Eileen Fletcher Golden Wedding Novices Hurdle.

That was one of two winners for champion jockey Richard Johnson who also saddled 5-1 shot Back On The Lash in the day’s final race, the two-mile Ann Esp Memorial "Newcomers" Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race.

The Jonjo O’Neill-trained Festive Affair won the day’s big race, the class three Extra Places At totesport.com Handicap Chase under the guidance of jockey Aidan Coleman.

Other winners on the day at Ludlow were the 25-1 outsider Takbeer in the two-mile opener and the 4-1 favourite Just A Feeling in the Welsh Guards Association Handicap Hurdle.

There were two other class three races. Favourite Baden won the three-mile chase with Nico de Boinville on board while Sam Twiston-Davies steered Leoncavallo to victory in a two-mile hurdle.
