CLEOBURY Mortimer Running Club will be very well represented at this year's Virgin London Marathon which takes place on Sunday.
The club has five runners attempting to take on the UK’s most famous 26.2 mile race – club coaches Joanne Watson and Andie Ford, charity runners Lisa Taylor-Stokes and Lisa Biggs and, finally, Andrea Miles.
Ford said: “It’s been a very cold and wet winter for marathon training and it’s been difficult to get out on some occasions.
“But between us we’ve clocked up nearly 2,000 miles since Christmas.
“The forecast for London is a hot day which we haven’t trained in at all! But luckily we are all made of tough stuff!”
Cleobury Mortimer Running Club will also hold its inaugural 10k race this year on July 1 and places are filling up fast. Visit www.stuweb.co.uk/events/2018/07/1/3086/ to enter.
