TWO goals from Sean Gough helped Church Stretton to a 3-2 victory over visitors Wonder Vaults in Division Two of the West Midlands League.

But the win came at a cost with further injuries to Paul Smith’s already depleted side who welcome mid-table rivals AFC Bilbrook to Russells Meadow this weekend.

Dean Richards was also on target and the winning margin could have been greater with Richards missing a penalty and the woodwork twice coming to Vaults’ rescue.

In the Shropshire League, Craven Arms Town lost 4-0 at home to Madeley Sports in the Premier Division while Brown Clee lost by the same scoreline at Claverley in Division One.

Newcastle booked their place in the last eight of the Emrys Morgan Cup with a fine 4-2 defeat of Llanrhaeadr but there was disappointment for Bishops Castle who went out of the competition after losing 4-0 at Four Crosses.
