HEREFORD manager Pete Beadle says he's delighted that the Bulls will face Dagenham & Redbridge in the FA Trophy.

Beadle's team will face the National League high-fliers in the first round proper on December 16.

"Looking at the teams that were in the southern section, Dagenham would have been one of the teams you would have wanted," said Beadle.

"I think it's a great draw and the fact it's at home is an added bonus."

Dagenham are managed by the experienced John Still, who is in his third spell with the East London club.

Beadle thinks he has come across Still when he was with playing for Gillingham and the 67-year-old was managing Maidstone United.

"John is a league manager who has experience of taking teams up,

"He's still doing great and will be a fantastic test for us."

Hereford reached the first round following a fine 2-1 away win at National League South side Oxford City.

"I thought we did really well, especially as we chanced the system and personnel," added Beadle.

"We were playing against a club who had been flying since they won their FA Cup game [at Colchester] so I was really pleased."
