LUDLOW’S Craig Morris is hoping to take advantage of the one of the biggest opportunities of his boxing career next weekend.
Morris will travel to the East Midlands on December 2 to take on Swindon’s Ryan Martin at the Leicester Arena in an English welterweight title eliminator.
The ‘All or Nothing’ show is being presented by Cyclone Promotions, a company run by former WBA featherweight world champion Barry McGuigan, and will be aired on Spike TV and Channel 5.
Morris bounced back from his defeat to Ryan Fields in February by beating Marcin Cybulski in July.
Both Morris and Martin go into December’s clash with eight victories and one defeat and it’s shaping up to be a fantastic bout.
“Our records are identical and this is a really big opportunity for me,” said Morris.
“It’s a Barry McGuigan show and if you perform well your name will get out there.
“We’ll both be looking to make a name for ourselves and to put on a good show.”
Tickets for the show, headlined by undefeated European super lightweight champion Anthony Digit against former English champ Joe Hughes, are £30 with VIP seats costing £100.
