LUDLOW HC and old foes Bromsgrove shared the spoils in West Midlands Premier Division.

Gavin Hughes struck twice for the home side with Andy Richards netting the other as they twice came from behind to draw 3-3.

It was Ludlow who took the lead inside ten minutes with an unstoppable drag flick by Hughes only for Bromsgrove to equalise with a reverse flick that went in off the far post.

The visitors struck again ten minutes before the interval, firing home after the initial shot from a penalty corner had been saved but Ludlow bagged their second on the stroke of half-time when Richards steered Ryan Fellows' shot past a lunging defender.

The second half was just as tight and it was Bromsgrove who regained the upper hand when a rare attack was turned in by a diving forward.

But this spurred Ludlow on and when the increasing pressure led to a penalty corner, up stepped Hughes with an even better drag flick than his first.

Meanwhile, Tenbury Ladies suffered a 6-2 defeat at home to Stourport 3rds in Division One of the Worcestershire League even though they dominated early on with Cat Mumford giving them a 15th minute lead and Naomi Burgoyne doubled the advantage soon after.

But the visitors came out strongly after the break and were back on level terms within 14 minutes.

Tina Bickley went close to adding a third for Tenbury but was denied by a goalline clearance and although player of the match Rachel Croxton-Broome was tireless in midfield, Tenbury crumpled late on as Stourport ran in four more goals to secure the win.
