MARK Littlejohns shot an excellent 40 points to win Division Two of Ludlow Golf Club’s October Stableford, two shots clear of second placed Simon Needham.

Division One was won with an equally impressive 40 points from Nick Giles, who secured a narrow victory with Dave Fish finishing on 39 pts.

Aubrey Groom topped Division Three with 39 points, five shots ahead of runner-up Brian Loose.

Ludlow’s Scratch A team were beaten 6-2 by a strong Bridgnorth GC quartet in the final of the County Scratch League at Oswestry Golf Club.

Captain Daren Humphries, along with Harry Lines, Dave Fish and George Watton tied the morning round of matches but lost all four in the afternoon.

A PSP Charity Day at Ludlow, hosted by Alison Heuvelink, raised an impressive £1,200.

The Am-Am competition was won by John Adams, Carl Wilkes, Jayne Smith and Guy Jordan with a score of 80 points.

Everyone had a fantastic afternoon, especially as the weather had improved so much after the heavy morning rain.

Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a neurological condition caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in certain parts of the brain.

There are believed to be around 4,000 people living with PSP in the UK at any one time. PSPA are the only charity supporting people with this condition in the UK.

Ludlow want to thank everyone who helped make the day such a success, particularly Ruth Wathes, Heather Sanders, Peter MacCutchan and Pat Merrick.

Meanwhile, the popular Winter Opens will be taking place at Ludlow once again with the first of the monthly better ball opens pencilled in for Thursday, November 30.
