ANTHONY Griffiths shot an impressive nett 66 to win Division Two of the September Medal at Ludlow Golf Club.
Putting proved difficult as routine aeration work had been carried out on the greens which made Anthony’s score even more impressive.
John Adams, Paul Phillips and John Davies tied for second place four shots back.
Division One was won by Lee Roberts with a 67 nett, just a single shot ahead of runner-up Nigel Griffiths who shot a very good three-over par gross score in the difficult conditions.
Bob Burt secured Division Three with a nett 68 with Shaun Parker and Roger Painter tied for second place.
Mark Bullough took the honours in Ludlow’s latest Junior Competition thanks to an excellent score of 32 nett.
Bruce Slattery scored 36 for second and newcomer Ethan Greenhalgh finished joint third in his first competition.
The first of Ludlow Golf Club’s popular Winter Opens takes place on Thursday, November 30.
