EX-HEREFORD United player Sam Clucas has returned to the Premier League after signing for Swansea City.

Clucas, who played for the Bulls between 2011 and 2013, has joined from Hull City for a reported £16.5million.

"He has experience of playing at Premier League level, he has a lot of experience of playing in British football," said Swansea manager Paul Clement.

"And I also like the story, I like his background.

"He's had to fight to where he's got to through the route he's come in the lower levels.

"He was at the Glenn Hoddle Academy, he became a very strong and established player at Hull and I think he's going to be a really good addition to us."

Clucas left Hereford for Mansfield, with the Bulls receiving £20,000 following a tribunal.

He later signed for Chesterfield before Hull bought him for a reported £1.3million in 2015.
