MARY Lambert secured double delight in Ludlow Castle Tennis Club’s annual championship.
Lambert beat Linda McMahon 6-4, 7-6 to take the women’s singles after partnering Iain MacDonald to a straight-sets success over Martyn Jones and Rhian Davies (6-2, 6-3) in the mixed doubles.
McMahon did taste glory in the women’s doubles alongside Christine Hood as Lin Dickin and tourn-ament organiser Jenny Nichol were seen off 6-2, 7-6.
In the men’s singles final, Guy Sellek took on Steve Barnfield, surviving an early break to win 6-4, 6-0.
The same pair faced each other again in the men’s doubles final, Sellek partnering his father John and Barnfield pairing up with Tom Bordeway. Over three big-hitting sets, the firepower of Bordeway and Barnfield prevailed to capture the title (6-1, 4-6, 6-3).
