IAN Taylor and Jamie Farrar shone as Tenbury’s second string held out for a losing draw with their Kidderminster counterparts on Saturday.

Tenbury won the toss and opted to field but did not have things all their own way as Andrew Reeson (23) and Simon Trickett (22) scored steadily at the start.

Rhodri Morson (32) and captain Ian Sadler (33) kept Kidderminster’s scoreboard ticking over until the latter was seen off by Farrar (3-25) who then tidied up the tail.

The hosts were dismissed for 139 and there was some early promise for Tenbury courtesy of Taylor (61).

However, any significant support was absent as Finley Tibbetts (3-29) worked his way through the top end with Sadler (3-27) whittling away the lower order.

Tenbury ended their 30 overs on 129 for seven and picked up nine league points for their efforts. Kidderminster scored 15.

The first-teams clash ended in a washout with Kidderminster having just 20 runs on the board from less than five completed overs.
