BRIMFIELD & Little Hereford's quartet skipped by Jennie Cole were beaten in the last 16 of the Women’s National Fours Championship at Victoria Park.

They lost to defending champions Margaret Watts, Jeannie Flippance, Katie Smith and Rebecca Wigfield from Northamptonshire who remain on course to retain their crown in the Dorset Bowls sponsored event.

The draw has been made for the Flowfit Ludlow and District Bowls League Individual Merit for 2016 which takes place on Sunday (August 21) at Craven Arms Bowling Club.

The competition has attracted a bumper 40 entrants.
