KIAH Roberts won a monumental battle with Paul Rogers to land the Flowfit Ludlow and District Bowls League Individual title for the third time at Cleobury Mortimer.
The biggest margin between the pair was when the 21-year-old Roberts edged ahead 13-9, but Rogers quickly levelled.
Three ends later Rogers was 17-15 up but Roberts responded for a 19-17 lead.
Rogers scored a brace off the next end to level at 19-19 but Roberts then conjured up two shots out of the top drawer to win a thrilling game 21-19.
The competition attracted 29 entrants and there was plenty of top bowling on show.
A few fancied players failed to make it past the quarter-finals but four bowlers who play in the Shropshire Premier League made sure the semi-finals were of the highest quality.
Semi-final number one saw a battle of Burway as Roberts took on Duncan Pressley, who raced into a 7-0 lead. Roberts was rocked but kept chipping away.
With Pressley leading 12-8, Roberts went up a gear to go 15-12 ahead.
Pressley got it back to 18-17 down but Roberts ran out the 21-17 victor.
The second semi-final saw Cleobury's Jamie Taylor tackle Burway's Rogers.
Taylor was 9-2 down but turned the tables to lead 13-9.
Rogers fought back to go 20-15 up and with Taylor, who plays for Bylet, only scoring single shots, he found the winning shot for a 21-17 verdict.
