ORLETON Colts and Tenbury United go head-to-head in a mouthwatering Herefordshire League local derby at the Recreation Ground next Tuesday night, kick-off 6.30pm.?The two Premier Division sides kick off the new campaign this weekend, with Orleton hosting Wellington Reserves and Tenbury travelling to Leominster Town. ?Then on Tuesday they meet each other in an early-season battle for local bragging rights.?Orleton saw off Shobdon 3-1 in their last pre-season game last Thursday night with goals from player-manager Kristian Morgan (penalty), Chris Breakwell and Nathan Hardisty.?Morgan said: “We are looking forward to getting a good start in the league.

"I feel the squad is stronger than last season and we have better strength in depth.

"We want to see if we can push the top teams like Ewyas Harold, Wellington and Pegasus.?“We won the Newcastle Cup last season and it would be good to have a crack at another cup competition as well.”

Breakwell and Tom Ballard are new recruits following the demise of Brimfield last season while Dave ‘Magnum’ Thomas has switched from Woofferton.

"Tuesday’s game with Tenbury is sure to be a tight one that could go either way,” added Morgan.
