LUDLOW Town Juniors are wallowing in a wonderful across-the-board season of achievement - with a series of cup finals still to come this weekend.

The club has over 100 players aged from four upwards and they have enjoyed success in virtually every age group.

Finals day for the South Shropshire Junior League sides is this Sunday at Orleton and will see Ludlow’s Under-8s North, managed by Carl Morris and unbeaten in the league, take on their newly formed South team, managed by Adam Griffiths.

There will also be finals for the Under-9s, managed by new recruit Simon Vickers, at Under-11 level, with Andy Anthony’s side also unbeaten in the league, and for the Under-13 Bulldogs bossed by Mark Tonkinson, another side who didn’t taste defeat in the league.

The Under-10s, run by Ryan Lockley, another in his first season, reached the semi-finals of the cup, while the Under-12s, who play in the HJFL and are managed by club chairman Paul Mear, only lost four games all season and reached the cup semi-finals, before losing to eventual winners Kimbolton.

Ludlow Arrows Under-15s, managed by Scott Mackenzie, and Ludlow Bulldogs, managed by Jamie Prince, both had tough seasons, but managed to hold their own.

The club’s presentation evening is on Friday, May 22. The crèche to Under-9s presentations will take place from 5.30 to 7pm and the Under-10s to Under-15s from 7.30pm.

The club will also be holding a signing-on evening on Wednesday, May 27 for the following groups for the 2015-2016 season - Under-13s (currently Under-12s), Under-14s (currently Under-13s) and Under-16/17 (currently Under-15s). If your child is interested please come along between 6-7pm for Under 13s and 14s, and 7-8pm for Under 16s and 17s. The club are also looking for volunteers to coach at Under-7 and Under-8 level next season.
