CLEOBURY Mortimer golf club claimed fourth spot in the latest round of the PGA alliance at Kington Golf Club.

The team of Sam Pain, Paul Jones, Andy Thomas and Roger Evans rallied on the back nine to shoot 84 points.

Meanwhile Cleobury B finished in second place to register their first order of merit points of the season with Dave Balmer and Guy Taylor making birdies on the front nine and Ian Dorrel producing a one under par back nine.

In the individual event Sam Pain finished just two off the lead in fourth spot, after a three under par back nine saw him finish on a level par score of 36 points.

And in the amateur event Amy Milward continued her good form, taking second spot after making six birdies in a round of 39.

The club were due to compete at Hawkstone Park yesterday.
