DAVE Gordon's 45 was enough to win himCleobury Mortimer Golf Club's (CMGC) double roll-up competition.

More than 50 people took part in the event, which allows members to play on either day with the best score over the weekend winning.

Gordon, who is now playing twice a week, found real consistency in his game to secure the win by three shots.

Ross Moorecroft, who had been close to a good score for a number of weeks, posted 40 to gain second place. with Bryan Colley coming third.

Both Colley and Lee Glasbury scored 39 points, but Colley's superior countback gave him third place.

"It is great to see the competition numbers so high and some great golf being played this winter," said CMGC's director of golf Dave Pain.

"The top four players this week all have huge potential for a big 2015 and it is great to see a nice mix of handicaps picking up prizes."

Gordon was also on the mark in the Texas AM.

He teamed up with Graham Butcher, Eduardo Nasicmento and Colin Hopewell to shoot an impressive 99 points.

The best two stableford scores counted on each hole once the best drive had been taken.

But the team of Dave Moore Gary Hingley, Bob Barlow and Alan Hall thought it was a Texas Scramble event and were ultimately disqualified.
