AFC LUDLOW hit six of their best to secure their biggest win of the season against Worcester Raiders in West Midlands (Regional) League Division 1.

The victory lifts Dave Cooper's side back into the top three on goal difference.

Jake Price opened the scoring for the home side, meeting debutant Jamie Edwards’ corner to fire the hosts in front.

Kieron Dovey added a second before Price grabbed his brace to hand AFC Ludlow a 3-0 half time advantage.

“We’d killed the game off by the break, but had it not been for a brave save from Ian Havard early on it could have been a different story," said Cooper.

AFC Ludlow went on to add a further three goals in the second with Dovey grabbing his second and Keanu Cooper and George Sankey also getting on the scoresheet.

“It was a good win that will give us plenty of confidence," said Cooper.

However the Ludlow boss couldn’t help but cast his mind back to a run of draws which saw his side drop 12 points over the course of six games.

“If we’d picked up those extra wins we’d still be in with a shout of winning the league," admitted Cooper.

"Those draws still haunt me.”
