LUDLOW Hockey Club recorded back to back wins over the weekend, enjoying success in both the Warwick Printing League and England Hockey Vase.

Their first win saw them chalk up a 4-3 victory over title hopefuls Solihull Blossomfield thanks to goals from Andrew Richards (2), Brendan Pratt and Vijay Chumbers.

And just twenty-four hours later, they secured a 4-1 victory over Southport in the England Hockey Vase.

The goals were scored from James Pratt (2), Graham Hutchinson and Samuel Pratt.

Ludlow 2nd travelled to Warwick Printing League 2nd XI Division 2 leaders Wolverhampton where they got off to a flying start thanks to a quick-fire brace from Tom Aston.

The stunned home side pulled back level before taking a 4-2 lead into the break.

Ludlow grabbed a third just after the restart, but Wolverhampton ran away with the game, winning 8-3. Ludlow 3rd fell to a disappointing 3-0 loss against Tamworth in a game which saw Ludlow goalkeeper Ollie Evans gain the man of the match award.

Tenbury Ladies battled out a goalless draw against second placed Harbourne Ladies in Worcestershire League Division 1, while Tenbury Ladies Veterans fell to a 2-0 defeat against Leamington Ladies Veterans to miss out on a quarter final place in the National Trophy.
