DAN Gower grabbed a hat-trick as Woofferton got back to winning ways in Hereford Times Herefordshire Football League Division 1.

Kieron Dovey scored the other two goals as the Blues came from behind to hammer Wellington Colts 5-1.

After battling out a goalless first half, Wellington Colts took a surprise lead.

But Woofferton soon started to dominate with Gower heading home to draw his side level.

Gower quickly added a second, before grabbing his hat trick to make it 3-1.

Dovey added insult to injury, grabbing a brace before full time as Woofferton ran riot.

In the same division, Brimfield were on the end of a 10-2 hammering against Ledbury Town Reserves.

Orleton Colts halted a run of three defeats with a slender 1-0 win over Fownhope in the Premier Division. Orleton’s goal came 10 minutes into the second half thanks to Martyn Jones.

The home side had to cling on to all three points as Fownhope laid siege on their goal, Kelvin Thomas making three match-winning saves to secure the win.

Church Stretton saw their four-game winning run in the Mercian (Regional) League come to an end with a narrow 3-2 defeat to AFC Bridgnorth at Russells Meadow.

The home side had taken the lead through Ross Ramute, but saw Bridgnorth level before the break.

The visitors made the most of a defensive error from Church Stretton to take a 2-1 lead before Matthew Newton pulled the home side level, but as Stretton searched for the winner, a defensive mix up between goalkeeper Joe Bartl and defender Newton saw the visitors awarded a penalty which they converted to secure the win.

Bishop's Castle crashed of the Division 1 Cup following a 4-1 home defeat against AFC Broseley League.
