LUDLOW Hockey Club recorded an excellent 4-3 win against Aldridge and Walsall in Warwick Printing West Midlands Premier League.

Dave Hughes made a string of fine saves early on, but was powerless to stop a fine shot that gave the home side the lead, before Joe Haywood pulled Ludlow level before the break.

The visitors then went on to take the game to their opponents with the Pratt brothers sharing the second half goals; James collecting a brace and Sam one.

On Saturday Ludlow entertain Solihull and Blossomfield in a 1.30pm kick-off before welcoming Southport HC to Much Wenlock on Sunday in the 3rd round of the England Hockey Vase..

Ludlow 3rd put in a great performance which saw a frenetic end to end game finish 7-2 to Whitchurch.

With the scores level at 1-1 at half time, the home side ended up going down 5-1 at full time.
