ORLETON Colts conceded two late goals as they were edged out 2-0 by Ewyas Harold in the Herefordshire League Premier Division.

Both the visitors goals came in the final 20 minutes of an even match which saw Colts miss a penalty on ten minutes.

The defeat keeps them in mid-table ahead of another home clash with Ewyas Harold this Saturday in the HFA Senior Cup quarter finals.

"We matched them for most of the game," said Colts' player manager Kristian Morgan.

"We didn't look that bad.

"But one of our players lost the ball on the edge of the box for their first goal on 70 minutes before they scored a second with five minutes left.

"We had a few chances but their keeper made some good saves. Hopefully we'll match them this week."

Meanwhile, in Division One, Woofferton let a three goal slip by conceding three goals in the final 12 minutes against Holme Lacy.

A Danny Gower hat trick - including a well worked effort involving Dave Thomas - had the home side coasting towards victory.

But with 12 minutes to go, Holme Lacy notched what looked as though it would be a consolation before doubling their tally on 85 minutes.

Then, with just one minute to go, a clearance from a visiting defending put Holme Lacy's striker through and finished well to grab a draw.

"It does feel like two points dropped," said Thomas.

Elsewhere in the division, Brimfield boss Duncan Morris was full of praise for his 10 men who lost 3-1 at Fownhope Reserves.

The visitors, who were lacking in numbers because of a shortage of availability, found themselves 3-0 down inside 25 minutes.

A half time reshuffle tightened things up and saw Brimfield dominate play, with Charlie Byatt getting on the scoresheet before going close to adding a second late on.
