LUDLOW Hockey Club narrowly lost 2-0 to Solihull Blossomfield in Warwick Printing West Midlands Premier League.

Calum Beaumont played his first game in nearly two years and second team captain Jack Phasey was also brought into the side.

Both new arrivals had excellent games and contributed well to the high-tempo game against a well organised Solihull side.

Ludlow went behind to an early penalty corner before the home side added a second against the run of play.

Ludlow 2nd went down to Wolverhampton 4-1.

Stu Parks and Malachi Davenport-Smith both returned to the side, while third team captain Hector Robertson stepped up to the side.

Wolves scored twice in each half, with Ludlow's goal coming from forward Mike Wilson.

Ludlow 3rd recorded their first win of the season with a 3-1 success against Tamworth.

Cameron Hillhouse showed outstanding skill to score his first goal in senior hockey before Tamworth equalised.

However, Ludlow upped a gear and Tom Crump bagged a brace to secure the win.

Cat Mumford, Emily Moseley and Emma Reddock were all on target for Tenbury Ladies in their 3-1 win against Bromsgrove in Worcestershire League Division One.

Rosie Oatham performed well for Tenbury on her debut, while Jo Rusling saved three of Bromsgrove's attempts at goal.
