TENBURY United joint manager Aaron Morris was delighted with his side's thumping 4-0 away success - but believes the margin should have been greater.

United romped to a 4-0 win at bottom of the table Ross Juniors in the Herefordshire Football League Premier Division.

The win puts them up to sixth in the table with Morris keen to maintain the momentum.

"We've got Leominster away on Saturday. It's still close in the bottom half so we've got to try and pull ourselves clear," he said.

United took the lead at Ross thanks to a first half strike from Dale Withers, and doubled the lead through Morris shortly after the break.

Withers added a third before Ian Patterson rounded off the victory with a late strike.

Ross remain bottom with just two points from their opening six games.

"They were pretty poor to be honest," said Morris. "They forced us into a save but that was late in the game.

"It should have been more. We had about 70 per cent of the ball.

"Everyone played well for us. There was no-one who had a poor game."

Meanwhile, in Division Two, a brace from Mark Boucker and one from Christopher Patton helped Tenbury Town to a 3-1 win over Kingstone Rovers.

The win moves Tenbury up to fifth place.
