TENBURY captain Will Gough led by example by scoring every point as his team gained a welcome revenge victory.

Gough helped himself to a converted try and three penalties as his side saw off Greyhound 16-10 in an impressive away win in Midlands Four West (North).

Just last month, Tenbury had been on the wrong end of a 32-7 defeat by the same side in the second round of the Midlands Vase.

"I'm really pleased with the result but we need to keep our feet on the ground," said Gough.

"There's a lot more to be had from us."

Tenbury were narrowly ahead in Saturday's encounter, leading 6-5 at the break, with Gough kicking two penalties.

After the interval, Gough was again in the thick of the action, kicking another conversion before going over for a converted try.

Greyhound launched a comeback with a try but missed the conversion.

"We executed our plan well and deserved the win," added Gough.

"There were a lot of outstanding performances. It's difficult to single out anyone."

This Saturday, Tenbury entertain Market Drayton.

Meanwhile, Cleobury Mortimer had "white line fever" after completing a thumping win over Yardley in the same division.

Seven different players recorded a total of 10 tries as they maintained their lead at the top of the table.

Cleobury were quickly into their stride and soon clocked up a bonus point with a powerful first half performance which saw them leading 35-3 at the break.

Tries from Paul Hulland, Ben Howman, Alex Howman (two), Sam Bills, Dave Leach, Josh Phillips (two) and Ed Lewis (two) helped them complete the demolition.

"It was quite convincing but we could have scored more," said Cleobury captain, Will Bache.

"We had white line fever I think. I can't fault anyone.

"We've done really well since the start of the season."

The win maintains Cleobury's 100 per cent start to the season having won four out of four, scoring 217 points and conceding just nine.

They are four points ahead of second-placed Cannock.

This Saturday, Cleobury travel to mid-table Barton-under-Needwood in what Bache believes will be a tough test.

"We went there last year in the cup and got a real thumping, so it will be difficult," he said.

"But we've got a young, exciting team at the moment."
