BRIMFIELD manager Duncan Morris was delighted to see his team share the goals around after the Herefordshire League Division One side hammered Ewyas Harold Reserves 10-4.

Rob Boyd grabbed four of the goals, with Josh Partridge and Jake Collett both getting braces.

Craig Morris and Ross Crippin also got their names on the score-sheet.

"It was our first home game and was a solid all-round team performance," said Morris.

"We dominated play from the first whistle, but Ewyas Harold were a resilient team and kept playing football despite chasing the game for the 90 minutes."

Brimfield went in the break 5-3 up, but Ewyas Harold Reserves pulled a goal back shortly in the second half to make a game of it.

But the home side eventually cruised home, which was aided by a Harold player being sent off for foul and abusive language.

Morris' men will again face Ewyas Harold Reserves in the league this Saturday.

"They will probably have some of their older players back for the game, so we know it will be tough," said Morris.

"Dan Hicks, Dean Harding and Tom Everell have gone to Woofferton and Scott Davies has joined Orleton, so we have lost two defenders, a right-sided midfielder and a striker.

"But Rob Boyd and Josh Partridge have joined, so it was good to see their names on the score-sheet."

Dan Gower also scored four goals as his Woofferton team hammered Bartestree Reserves 7-0.

Dickie Evereall also netted twice with Si Bradley grabbing the other goal.

''It was a great result away from home because Steve Chadd had to make some changes," said Woofferton player-secretary Dave 'Magnum' Thomas.

"'Dan's goals were well taken and he's always going to score when he gets the service."

Woofferton host Tenbury Town this Saturday in the HFA Junior Cup.

Church Stretton boss Paul Smith will be looking to shake things up this weekend following another poor performance.

Smith's men have now failed to score in four of their last five games, with the latest drought coming against Madeley Sports last Saturday.

"Normally it's a case of not converting our chances, but this time we didn't create any," said Smith.

"We are lacking confidence and we losing our fitness, which shows on the pitch.

"I don't know what to do.

"I am thinking about changing formations and using different players.

"This Saturday we've got Childs Ercall in the Premier League Cup.

"They are struggling at the moment and also not scoring many goals.

"The players knew they were poor last Saturday and need to buck their ideas up."

In Division One, Wayne Whitbread's Clee Hill hammered bottom-of-the-table Impact United 9-1, but Bishops Castle were thrashed 5-2 against Wrockwardine Wood to leave Alex Jones' team second from bottom.

Brown Clee beat Oakengate Rangers 2-0.

Newcastle lost 1-0 to Llanidloes Town Reserves in Mid Wales League (South).
