A TENBURY boxer is set to pack a punch in the town.

Liz Williams is the latest acquisition to Paddy Brennan's Boxing Academy.

The 25-year-old is set to start fighting next month after making the transition from keep fit to boxing.

Brennan said that he cannot wit to unleash the 25-year-old and has high hopes for her.

"She is really keen and will explode onto the scene in early September," said Brennan.

"I am quite excited about her because I haven't had a girl for two years.

"She is from Tenbury and has decided to go from keep fit to boxing.

"She looks really sharp and has got a great technique.

"Her footwork is really good and has got exceptional left and right hands.

"Her work ethic is really good and I am really looking forward to seeing her perform."

Brennan says that he is also ready to unleash two teenage brothers.

James Austin,15, and his 13-year-old sibling Dan are from Clifton-on-Teme.

Brennan says that they are "very aggressive" when they get inside the squared circle.

"They are rugby players and are very fit lads," said Brennan.

"They are soft as kittens outside the ring, but turn into aggressive fighters.

"They are hard as nails when they get into the ring and have got great technique.

"I am really excited for them."

Brennan added that 'Gorgeous' George Sloan is another boxer who has a bright future ahead of him.

Sloan starred at a show in Birmingham in May in which he knocked out his rival in the third round.

He has now moved up in class and weight and Brennan will be putting him through the school boy championships next season.

"He finished the end of last season really well and I am very excited about him," said Brennan.

"He has stepped up in class and weight and I am looking forward to put him in some championships.

"George is looking very strong and is a showstopper.

"His power is really good and his balance formidable.

"I predict some good things for him."

Training sessions are being held on Monday's and Friday's throughout the summer.
