AN autographed shirt signed by Church Stretton Olympic archery star Alison Williamson has been donated to help Clee St Margaret Village Hall raise funds.
Williamson, who was educated in Ludlow, competed in six consecutive Olympic Games from 1992 to 2012 and is a member of Long Mynd Archers in Church Stretton.
Clee St Margaret residents have used their links with some prominent sports stars to produce a collection of sporting memorabilia.
The residents are raising much-needed funds for the Heath Chapel roof-repair fund, Midland Air Ambulance and the village hall.
But Clee St Margaret residents are looking for a suitable event this summer in which the items could be auctioned or offered.
A signed shirt by former Wales rugby union skipper Ryan Jones, who has won three Grand Slams in a hugely successful career, is included in the collection.
There are also shirts signed by England rugby union star Joe Launchbury, Aston Villa centre-back Nathan Baker and ex- England cricketer Tim Ambrose.
Local organisations who are holding events this summer and could help the residents of Clee St Margaret, should call Ron Reed on 01584 823629.
