Town slide to 10th place after defeat at Shawbury
Shawbury United 3 Ludlow Town 0.
LUDLOW slipped to 10th place in the Sport Italia West Midlands League Premier Division after their second defeat of the festive period.
Following their 2-0 home reverse against Ellesmere Rangers the previous Saturday, Town found the fifth-placed visitors too hot to handle.
Martin Giles and David Walbyoff struck for the home side whose victory was rounded off by an own goal.
Tenbury United, in contrast, bounced back from defeat the previous Saturday to secure a 3-1 win at Brereton Town in Division 2.
United shook off the gloom of their 5-2 home defeat at home to Black Country Rangers to secure a fine victory at struggling Brereton.
The win, Tenbury's fourth in five league matches, maintains their hold on eighth position in the table and their confidence will be boosted ahead of what appears a tricky trip to fourth-placed Bustlehome Reserves on Saturday.
