Town grab all the points in away win
Pelsall Villa 0 Ludlow Town 1.
LUDLOW pulled off a West Midland Premier victory at their Walsall-based rivals after both sides were reduced to ten men.
Centre forward Ben Houlston headed the goal on 15 minutes from an Andy Reeves cross.
Town centre midfielder Stewart Loughnane was sent off when he retaliated after a challenge for which a defender was red carded.
Ludlow manager Chris Richards said: "After the break, we played our socks off to keep them out and thoroughly deserved the result."
Richards was particularly pleased with the promise shown by two teenage signings from Ludlow who came on as late subtstitutes.
They were midfielder Jack Keating and striker Marcus Sharrard.
Richards added: "They both showed good touches and will help to strengthen our squad. They are local lads and should do well for us."
On Saturday, Ludlow are at home to Shropshire County Premier side Market Drayton Reserves in the Shropshire Cup.
Ludlow beat their first team in a pre-season friendly but the Reserve side has beaten Ludlow Reserves twice this season.
Richards said: "They are a strong unit and not to be underestimated. These are thankless games. People will look on and say you should beat them yet, if we don't, we are on a hiding to nothing."
Richards added: "It would be great to reach the final as it will be played at Shrewsbury Town's New Meadow stadium. We would very much like to get there and make a bit of club history on the new ground."
