James Pratt hits four goals in Ludlow Hockey Club's 8-1 win at Rugeley in West Midlands Men’s League Division Two

JAMES Pratt bagged four goals as Ludlow Hockey Club romped to an 8-1 win at Rugeley in the Ener-G West Midlands Men’s League Division Two.
Ludlow led just 2-1 at the interval but overpowered the hosts in the second-half. Andrew Richards, Sam Pratt, Tom Moseley and Matt Blount also scored for Ludlow.
Jake Watts scored a stunning individual goal but he couldn’t stop Ludlow 2nd from an 8-3 defeat against Wednesbury in 2nd XI Division Two.
In addition to Watts’ superb strike, Andy Davenport-Smith and Steve Barnes were on target for Ludlow.
Charlie Lythe scored twice in a man-of-thematch display for Ludlow 3rd in a 7-3 win over Wolverhampton in the Fathom League.
Joe Heywood (2), Shaun Dajavs (2) and Steve Barnes also netted for Ludlow, while Tim Machin conceded an own goal.
A depleted Ludlow Ladies conceded two late goals in a 2-0 defeat against Bromsgrove 2nd in the Worcestershire Ladies’ League.
Unbeaten Tenbury Ladies picked up a point from a hard-fought 3-3 draw at Badsey, also in the Worcestershire Ladies’ League.
Rachel Croxton-Broome, Abi Thomas and Becky Gwilliam hit the target for in-form Tenbury.
New mum Kate Mif flin impressed in Tenbury’s defence in the second-half and goalkeeper Jo Rustlin was strong throughout.
Meanwhile, goals from Claire Beddow and Alice Oatham fired Ludlow Ladies to a 2-0 win over Bishop’s Castle in the KBS Sunday League.
