EMILY Moseley and Abi Thomas each bagged a brace as Tenbury Hockey Club sealed a 5-0 home win over rivals Ludlow in the Worcestershire League Division One.
Rachel Croxton-Broome also scored for Tenbury, who have sealed a quick-fire double over Ludlow.
Thomas was Tenbury’s outstanding player, while debutant youngsters Georgie Salmon and Francesca Parker also shone.
Davina Featherstone scored two second-half goals to seal a 3-0 win for Ludlow Ladies in Sunday’s Marches/KBS League match against Knighton.
Annette Burgoyne had earlier given Ludlow the lead after a fine cross from Featherstone.
Skipper Andrew Richards scored four goals in Ludlow’s 6-2 rout at Oswestry in the EnerG West Midlands Division Two.
The match was marred by a red-card for an Oswestry player, who appeared to push the umpire to the ground after picking up a caution.
Ludlow led 2-1 at the break but overpowered their hosts. James Pratt bagged a brace for Ludlow, who face Rugeley in Cannock this Saturday.
Jack Watts struck the underside of the bar and had a fierce effort well saved in Ludlow 2nd’s 6-0 defeat against Leamington in EnerG West Midlands 2nd Division Two.
Skipper Andy Davenport-Smith, Josh Rowson, Stephen Barnes, Ollie Preece and goalkeeper Henry Downes all returned for Ludlow and Adam Aspbury made his debut.
Tom Crump hit a hat-trick in Ludlow 3rd’s thrilling 5-5 draw at Whitchurch, who scored a late equaliser.
