Tenbury wrestler Jake Gittens set for High School show
2:09pm Wednesday 26th September 2012 in Sport
TENBURY wrestler Jake Gittens is poised to reveal his new-look persona in an all-action show in the town this weekend.
Jake is known inside the ring as ‘The Rock Star Cupid Valentino’ and the wrestler believes his character could shock his Tenbury fans.
The Ironfist Wrestling show is taking place at Tenbury High School on Saturday night with the doors opening at 7pm.
“Our previous two shows in Tenbury have gone down very well, so we are hoping the third will be our biggest success yet,” said Jake.
“The crowd is always loud in Tenbury and the wrestlers love performing at the high school venue.”
Jake says the wrestling action will get under way at 8pm and the evening includes a 20-man over the top rope ‘Royal Rumble’ contest.
“It will be a chance for people to see 20 wrestlers in the ring at the same time,” he said.
Terry Frazier, Aaron Adonis, The Iron Serb, The Demon Rigour Mortis and Big Bad Donaghan will be among the wrestlers stepping between the ropes.
Jake said: “We feel everyone who comes along to our shows gets to see something new and exciting.
“At our last show we featured a ladder match which left the crowd in awe as I fell from the top of the ladder to the floor below.”
He added: “We find grown ups who come along often turn into the biggest kids and battle with their sons and daughters to see who can cheer or boo the loudest.
“It promises to be a great night for everyone involved and we hope people can come along and support us.”
