Rugby sides' mixed fortunes as Tenbury win but Ludlow lose

IT was a mixed day for the Advertiser’s leading rugby sides with two wins and two defeats for those in action.
Ludlow continued their difficult start in Midlands One West when they were beaten 37-3 at home by Old Halesonians.
But, in Midlands Three West (North) Cleobury Mortimer notched their first win of the season when they beat Eccleshall 11-5.
The other game, in Midlands Four West (North) produced a win and a defeat with Tenbury winning 10-5 at Bishops Castle.
Tenbury’s footballers, however, were unable to match their rugby counterparts with United going down 3-0 to Sikh Hunters.
