Victory for Brian Morgan in Tenbury Wells Summer Darts League singles

BRIAN Morgan arrowed his way to victory in the Tenbury Wells Summer Darts League’s men’s singles competition.

Morgan, from the Vaults, defeated Fountain’s Mike Morris in an exciting final.

Morgan, however, tasted disappointment in the mixed doubles, with Fountain’s James Joyce and Liz Worrall taking the top honours.

The King’s Head’s Shir Haslam carried off the ladies’ singles accolade after overcoming team-mate Dawn Bennett.

Vaults’ Tim Green, Richard Winter and Oscar Bridges won the trebles with victory over Fountain’s Mark Griffiths, James Joyce and Richie Jones.

Mark Griffiths and Mike Morris teamed up to win the doubles for the Fountain, with Vaults’ Tim Green and James Woodhouse finishing second.

The Vaults won the league title from the runners-up, the Fountain, while Tavern ‘B’ clinched the knockout cup from The Vaults.

The King’s Head were crowned the ‘best sporting team’ for the second season running. The league organisers paid tribute to the Fountain for providing the venue for the finals and thanked all the players for making it another successful season.
