Third place for Ludlow Pony Club at National Pony Club Championships

LUDLOW Pony Club rode to third place at the National Pony Club Championships in Cheshire.

The members, aged from nine to 19 years, hit the right notes at Cholmondley Castle, Cheshire, with their ‘Wizard of Oz’ musical ride.

They will also be performing The Musical Ride at Ludlow Hunt Show on Sunday at 1.45pm. The show is at Hillocks Farm in Cleobury Mortimer.

Team trainer Gill Rollinson had been busy with choreography and instruction since April.

Katie Ayres, Freddie Powell, Nancy Rollings, Emma Parkinson, Becky Parsonage, Rosie Whitney, Beth Winter, Imogen Blower, Hetty Wood, Izzy Griffiths, Lucy Ayres and Amy Parry were the 12-strong team. Robinson thanked, among others, Nick Champion, The Clockhouse, McGrath Skip Hire and Brimfield Garden Company for their help towards costumes.
