Setback for Ludlow's Morans at Prescott

ORLETON ace Scott Moran has suffered a set-back in his bid to retain the MSA British Hillclimb Championship.

In the latest round at Prescott, Scott finished second behind Trevor Willis in the first run-off with his father, Roger, back in sixth place.

Willis broke Scott’s track record to pick up an extra championship point.

But the Moran family fortunes declined still further when a storm hit the track just before both were due to take their qualifying runs and resulted in both missing out.

Willis, who had just managed to get his qualifying run in before the rain, finished in second place to gain more valuable points.

Tenbury driver Alex Summers won his class and broke the class track record which had stood for 10 years.
