CAPTAIN Aaron Morris has challenged his Tenbury side to win their final two matches of the season.
The Penlu outfit are fourth in the Worcestershire County League Division Three - and Morris believes his side still have a chance to win promotion.
Tenbury host Himbleton at Penlu in their penultimate match this Saturday.
“There’s not a Worcestershire club coming down from the Birmingham League this season so there could be three teams going up from our division,” said Morris. “Promotion is a possibility - so we want to try to finish in the top three. We have two matches to go and we have to win them both.”
Morris’ men are 23 points behind thirdplaced Birlingham - the fixture between the sides at Penlu was rained off on Bank Holiday Monday.
Tenbury’s match at Stourbridge Social last Saturday was washed out with the hosts at 213- 8 from 44 overs.
Morris took 5-69 and Henry Corfield bagged 2-46, while Michael Mc- Donagh top-scored with 76 for Stourbridge and Waqas Ahmed hit 46 not out.
Tenbury lost at Himbleton earlier in the campaign.
“We will be looking to make amends against Himbleton,” added Morris.
“We lost against them at their place and the defeat was about 30 runs.
“We struggled at their ground because it is only small and we had two spinners.”
