Staffordshire trip for Flowfit Ludlow and District league bowlers

NINE players from the Flowfit Ludlow and District Bowls League will be travelling to Staffordshire with the Shropshire County Junior Squad on Monday.
Kiah Roberts, Nathan Baker, Josh Partridge, Dan Addis, Lewis Rogers, Tom Harrington, Harry Parsonage, Ryan Wilding and Adam Dovey have been selected.
The league took 12 players to the Shropshire Junior Inter-League competition at the Shrewsbury Severnside Complex.
Ludlow A reached the semi-finals before losing by 18 shots to Shropshire Tanners A.
They beat Mid Shropshire B by nine shots, with victories for Roberts, Addis, Rogers and Partridge.
They defeated Whitchurch A by 14 shots with successes for Partridge, Roberts, Nathan Baker and Rogers.
Ludlow B came up against very strong opposition, but Ryan Wilding (Stokesay) won all his games, while Tom Harrington (Ludlow Castle) and debutant Ben Foxall (Stokesay) lost one match.
Debutant Jack Parsonage also won his first game, Harry Parsonage, 10, had three close matches and Matt Wadsworth acquitted himself well at his maiden tournament.
