THE Hughes brothers starred for The Whales who won the team knockout prize at Craven Arms Dominoes finals night.
Roger and Barry Hughes won their games for the Newcastle team who triumphed 4-3 against Lydbury North’s Walcot despite wins from Elizabeth Black and Glyn Ellis.
Roger Hughes also shone in the singles knockout competition, beating Sitwell Arms’ John Edwards in the final.
Kangaroo duo Kevin Pritchard and Nicholas Harding jumped for joy after winning the doubles.
Hundred House trio Colin and Lil Payne and Mary Jones won the trebles, while Phil Webster, Colin Carter, John Edwards and George Jones triumphed in the fours.
Around 70 people watched the exciting finals’ night at Purslow.
Stuart Seabury’s Hundred House clinched the league title with Plough Inn’s Colin James achieving runners-up spot.
Hundred House’s Barry Francis claimed the most wins over the season, with Plough Inn’s Howard Mold, with 14 victories, finishing second.
The Hundred House topped the charts after completing 22 doubles wins in the season.
