James Pocknell stars for Archers of Teme

HOT-SHOT James Pocknell took the men’s title in Archers of Teme’s final indoor event of the winter campaign.
Jenny Lillyman secured the ladies’ crown and Rye Pocknell triumphed in the junior boys’ section in the competition at Moor Park School.
Geoff Lovis won the Best Gold award after his arrow finished nearest to the centre of the target.
The event was a Portsmouth round consisting of five dozen arrows shot over 20 yards. A handicap system produced a very close finish.
Results: Men’s champion: James Pocknell – 1481; Ladies champion: Jenny Lillyman - 1453; Boys’ junior champion: Rye Pocknell - 1360; Best Gold: Geoff Lovis.
