LUDLOW Golf Club Ladies' autumn meeting was played in fine September weather with many ladies making the most of the excellent playing conditions to post high-scoring rounds.

With such a large field of ladies a two-tee start was necessary for the combined events of a three-ball Alliance and individual Stableford competitions, while on the Tommy Adams Putting Green the popular putting competition was being staged.

Winning the three-ball Alliance team event was the team of Kim Simm, Liz Wright and Jean Moss, all low handicappers, who posted a huge score of 81 Stableford points.

Runners-up with 78 points were the team of Josephine Brooks, Mollie Clements and Gloria Myers.

In the individual Stableford, a good score of 35 points was posted by Lyn Young who took the first prize from runner-up Val Alexander on count-back.

Two prizes went in the putting competition with Sheila Band winning in the Silver Division and Hazel Adams in the Bronze.

Winner of the Jenny Kelly Cup for the highest combined scores from the spring and autumn meeting was Rona Cobb with a consistent 33 points in each competition.

INDIVIDUAL STABLEFORD: Lyn Young 35pts, Val Alexander 35pts, Rona Cobb 33pts.

PUTTING COMPETITION: Silver Division Sheila Band, Bronze Division Hazel Adams.
