Pershore 4 Ludlow 3.

LUDLOW Hockey Club had a very busy weekend, when their first and second teams played back-to-back BodyKraft League games. Unfortunately, both sides were forced to field weakened sides on both days and lost all four fixtures.

The first team led twice against Pershore on Sunday with Kevin Williams and Tom Aston scoring the goals, but the home side equalised both times, and then scored again to lead 3-2. Michael Jacks converted from a short corner but Pershore grabbed a late winner.

The previous day Ludlow went down heavily, 6-0 at home to Evesham. They defended well in the first half with Adam Aspbury working tirelessly and keeper Henry Downes making some excellent reaction saves.

Evesham led 3-0 at the break and then doubled their tally in the second half.

Ludlow 2nd travelled to Pershore and went down 4-1 after Tim Machin had given them the lead. On Sunday they hosted Stafford in a rearraged fixture and went down 5-2, with Matt Blount and Alan Edwards notching their goals.
