A LAST-minute goal from Adam Fisher salvaged a deserved FTL Futbol WMR League point at the SBS Stadium, after visiting Goodrich had taken the lead midway through the second half.
Going into the game looking to bounce back from their midweek reverse at Bromyard, Ludlow played some decent football. They looked composed and confident on the ball and provided plenty of movement off it.
Ludlow lacked a cutting edge inside the box and the visitors’ keeper, although busy at times, was rarely extended.
Defensively, Ludlow were generally confident, but when they were caught flat, keeper Anthony Prince bailed them out with a safe pair of hands.
Scott Sandland put Goodrich in front after 68 minutes and with time running out it looked as if Town would end without any reward. But Adam Fisher struck the equaliser in the 89th minute after they won a corner.
Lewis Ayres took the kick and Fisher fired home from close-range with a well-taken right-foot shot.
l The midweek fixture at Bromyard Town started and ended disastrously for Ludlow. Despite going down 4-1 at the final whistle, Ludlow actually dominated most of the play in between.
The home side were 2-0 up inside the first two minutes, leaving Town with a mountain to climb.
They pulled a goal back through Fisher, struck the woodwork and forced the home keeper to make some good saves. Their misery was compounded when Bromyard doubled their tally late on.
