St Martin’s Reserves 2 Ludlow Town Colts 4.
THE FIRST half of Ludlow Town Colts ‘fixture at St Martin’s was an evenly contested affair with both sides creating chances but failing to produce a goal.
In the second period Colts soon scored twice through a Simon Morris 25-yarder and a Bryn Martin header. Although St Martin’s replied with a header, an own goal restored the advantage before Richie Gwillam rounded the ‘keeper to square the ball for Kelvin Powell to tap in the fourth.
There was a late consolation goal for the home team which failed to dampen the Colts spirits in bouncing back from last week’s defeat.
l After last week’s 5-1 success at Telford Juniors when Danny Crowther, Jack Seymour, Simon Newhill (2) and an own goal were responsible for the scores, Ludlow Town Reserves came back to earth when they were battered 4-0 at Shifnal Town Reserves in the Shropshire Premier League.
